In vivo toxicity testing: Impact of ursolic acid on liver (a) and brain (b) enzyme activities. Liver α carboxyl esterase  and brain acetyl choline esterase activities were carried out using pooled liver/brain tissues from different fishes in the same group after 48 h of treatment. c Histopathology analysis: fish were injected with PBS and ursolic acid intramuscularly. After 48 h, the fish were sacrificed and preserved immediately in 10% formalin. They were embedded in paraffin blocks, sectioned, stained with Hematoxylin and eosin and imaged using bright field microscope. A–D represents histopathology of liver and muscle of untreated and ursolic acid (UR) treated respectively
