Effect of surfactants on PET hydrolysis. A The reactions were performed at 65 °C for 2 days, using Cut190*SS, 100 mM HEPES buffer (pH 8.5), 30 ppm (90 μM) surfactant and one piece of 6 mm PET-GF film, as described in “Materials and methods”. Surfactants used were decyltrimethylammonium chloride (C10), dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride (C12), and tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride (C14).
