Outline of the CRISPR-PCDup method. gRNA expressing plasmid and duplicating modules are introduced into the SJY30 strain, which harbors a Cas9-expressing plasmid. In transformed cells, CRISPR/Cas9 mediated double-strand breaks (DSBs) are induced near the target site. Chromosome duplication is then facilitated by PCDup. This new technology is named CRISPR-PCDup
