  1. Strains were stored in − 80 oC glycerol (30% v/v) + YPD stocks (Yeast extract 10 g L− 1, Peptone 20 g L− 1 and glucose 20 g L− 1). Before every experiment, agar plates were prepared by streaking the culture onto a YPDA plate (Yeast extract 10 g L− 1, Peptone 20 g L− 1 and glucose 20 g L− 1, agar 20 g L− 1) and incubated at 30 °C for 48 h, to obtain single colonies
