  1. Fermentations were performed in CGXII minimal medium containing the respective carbon source and were supplemented by 750 μM L-arginine. 1 mM IPTG and 25 μg/ml kanamycin and spectinomycin were added. Values and error bars represent the mean and the standard error of triplicates.
