  2. Statistics were calculated using one-way ANOVA for multiple comparisons. Tukey’s test was used for pairwise comparisons of means.
  3. * These data failed the normality test so a Kruskal-Wallis one-way analysis of variance on the ranks was run followed by Dunn’s method for pairwise multiple comparisons. Groups with unlike superscript letters were significantly different (P < 0.05).
