The amount of lead adsorbed by the mycelial surface of Pleurotus eryngii. The mycelia were collected and washed with ddH₂O to remove the residues of the medium, and then washed with 150 ml 0.1 M EDTA for 60 min, with shaking at 100 rpm. After that, the mycelia were rinsed with ddH₂O. Pb and Cd adsorbed onto the cell surface was measured in both solutions. All the values are the mean of three different samples ± standard error. The bars for each metal marked by different letters are statistically different at p < 0.01
