Effects of MnCl₂ and TCEP on the GH16B β-agarase activity. Individual and cotreatment effects of MnCl₂ (1 mM) and a sulfhydryl reductant TCEP (5, 10, or 15 mM) on the enzymatic activity were investigated by incubating the purified enzyme (0.8 µg/mL) with 0.4%[w/v] agarose in 50 mM Mcllvaine buffer (pH 7.0) at 50 °C for 30 min.
