Carbohydrate hydrolase activities in the sawdust medium cultivated for 27 days
Activities were measured using various substrates: (A) plant cell wall polysaccharides such as cellulose powder (CP), sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), 4-O-methyl-D-glucurono-D-xylan (xylan), polygalacturonic acid sodium salt (pectin), (B) nutritive materials such as soluble starch (starch), and (C) fungal cell wall polysaccharides such as laminarin (β-1,3/1,6-glucan), pustulan (β-1,6-glucan), chitin, hot-water soluble and insoluble cell wall polysaccharides mixture from L. edodes (WSP and WIP).
