Effect of various enzymes on the antimicrobial activity of CS and purified ESmr18. CS and ESmr18 were treated with 1 mg/ml of various enzymes for 1 h and the residual antimicrobial activity was tested by agar well diffusion assay after heat-inactivation of the enzymes. The untreated CS and ESmr18 were used as control. Error bars are representative of mean ± SD of the three independent experiments performed in triplicates. Letters a, b and c denote significant differences at p < 0.05
