  1. Cut190*SS was incubated at 63 °C for 3 days under the same conditions of PET except that 20 mg/ml of PEF (100 mM as monomer unit) was used. Control reactions were performed without the enzyme. Measurements of products were conducted by HPLC, as described in “Materials and methods”. Calculation was done, based on the peak area of FDA with different concentrations. Each measurement was performed in duplicate and expressed as average values
