Schematic representation of atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (APDBD) treatment of the surface of citrus fruits. APDBD treatment was performed using a roller conveyor plasma instrument. The plasma device comprised high-voltage electrodes and earth electrodes, both of which were composed of a plastic rod covered with an aluminium sheet and silicon sheet (0.5 mm thick). A high-voltage power supply [10 kVpeak to peak (kVp–p), 10 kHz] was used for plasma generation.
