Molecular prevalence of HMBS, AIV, Chlamydia and mcr-1 in poultry oropharyngeal swabs. Results of PCRs for HMBS, AIV, Chlamydia and mcr-1 on oropharyngeal swabs collected by student volunteers from six provinces in China. The HMBS positivity from samples collected in Tibet and Fujian province was significantly lower than of those from four other provinces (a). In a similar trend, the HMBS copy numbers in swabs from Tibet were significantly lower than those of from Jiangsu, Yunnan and Shandong (b). Surprisingly, swabs from Tibet and Hubei with the lowest HMBS copy numbers showed lowest prevalences for AIV, Chlamydia and mcr-1 by PCRs (c). The letter a or b indicates a significant
