Real-time CO2 and O2 concentrations in conventional flasks in shake culture of E. coli K12 IFO3301. Shake-flask culture conditions for both flasks were set as 100 mL of LB medium at 30 °C, and 200 rpm in the case of Erlenmeyer flask and 120 strokes/min shaking frequency and 70 mm shaking diameter in the case of Sakaguchi flask.
