Synergistic effect of H2O2 and NO on the synthesis and accumulation of hypocrellin. Three-day-old cells treated with 5 nmol/L PB90, 5 mmol/L SNP (about 5 mol/L NO), 15 μmol/L H2O2, 0.5 mmol/L cPITO and 0.5 mmol/L CAT, hypocrellin production were measured at 3 days after PB90 was added. The adding time of cPITO and CAT was 30 min before NO and H2O2 treatment. The control received vehicle solvent only. The results shown are the average of five independent experiments.
