Synergistic effect of H₂O₂ and NO on the synthesis and accumulation of hypocrellin. Three-day-old cells treated with 5 nmol/L PB90, 5 mmol/L SNP (about 5 mol/L NO), 15 μmol/L H₂O₂, 0.5 mmol/L cPITO and 0.5 mmol/L CAT, hypocrellin production were measured at 3 days after PB90 was added. The adding time of cPITO and CAT was 30 min before NO and H₂O₂ treatment. The control received vehicle solvent only. The results shown are the average of five independent experiments.
