Step-by-step purification and antimicrobial activity of the bacteriocin-like compound. The antimicrobial activity of the purified extract was verified through agar well diffusion assay. Step 1 of purification and inhibition halo produced by the crude extract obtained after adsorption/desorption method (A), step 2 of purification and antimicrobial activity of the partial purified extract through an extraction with n-butyl alcohol (B), step 3 of purification and the growth inhibition of the eluted bacteriocin-like compound (C). All samples were tested against E. coli ATCC 25922
