The turbidity reduction curve of peptidase activity against chloroform-treated E. coli. The peptidase M15A activity of various amounts was used to lyse chloroform E. coli XL1-Blue cell suspensions. The graph of turbidity reduction using peptidase M15A of 0.3 μg/ml (filled triangle), 1.6 μg/ml (filled circle), 3 μg/ml (open triangle) and 16 μg/ml (open circle) were evaluated. Phosphate buffer (filled square) was used as a negative control and 3 μg/ml of lysozyme (filled diamond) was used as positive control.
