One unit is defined as one micromole of H2O2 generated (for NADH oxidase) or decomposed (for NADH peroxidase) per minute. c. Minus values where H2O2 generating ability was higher than H2O2 decomposing ability are defined as non-detectable (N.D) in NADH peroxidase assay. d. Significantly different to f, P < 0.05. e.
