From: Immunological characterization of recombinant Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi FliC protein expressed in Escherichia coli

Figure 2

Detection of recombinant FliC protein of serovar Typhi (r-FliC) by ELISA using anti-rFliC antibody. This shows the detection of FliC in different concentrations indicating the FliC variability. Figure 2B: Detection of FliC antigen in clinical samples. Representative bars shows healthy blood samples spiked with cultured serovar Typhi (BS1 to BS4) and patient’s blood samples (PS5 to PS7) using anti-r-FliC antibody by ELISA. NC is negative control i.e. unspiked healthy blood sample. Figure 2C: Western blots analysis showing the reactivity of rFlic with patients’ sera. Lanes-1-3,5,7,8 &10-12: Ni2+-NTA purified rFliC of serovar Typhi showing reactivity with typhoid patient (Widal positive) serum on PVDF membrane; Lane-4: Ni2+-NTA purified rFliC of serovar Typhi showing no reactivity with patients serum.
