Static batch fermentation of sucrose, raffinose or inulin in the absence of glucose. Cells grown in YPD medium at 30°C for 18 h were inoculated into batch culture, which was conducted in 300-ml Erlenmeyer flask containing 100 ml of YP medium containing 2% glucose (YPD), sucrose (YPSuc), raffinose (YPRaf), inulin (YPInu) or galactose (YPGal) at 30°C (a) and 45°C (b) under a static condition as time indicated. Initial OD660 was adjusted to 1.0. Bars represent the ±SD for three independent experiments.
